This policy explains how 4D Thinking collects and uses your personal information when you use this website or contact us. 4D Thinking is the trading name of Dean Duthie, who is the data controller for your information. You can contact us at hello@4Dthinking.uk.
What we collect
If you use our contact form, email or phone us, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, organisation, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
This website does not use cookies or tracking tools such as Google Analytics. Our hosting provider keeps basic server logs (such as IP addresses) to run the site securely.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call.
- To prepare a proposal or deliver work you have asked us for.
- To keep a record of our business correspondence.
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We will not use your details for marketing without your permission, and we never sell your information.
Who we share it with
Our website and contact form are hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions on our behalf. Netlify may store data outside the UK; where it does, it uses recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We use IONOS for email. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 24 months, and records of client work for as long as we need them for legal, tax and accounting purposes (normally six years).
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it. To make a request, email hello@4Dthinking.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
